Teresa E. Doyle, M.A., L.P.C., L.M.F.T., L.C.D.C. – Angela House Program Psychotherapist


Ms. Doyle has been the Program Psychotherapist at Angela House since September 2002. She has been practicing psychotherapy for over 30 years and specializes in women’s issues, in particular, trauma/abuse, substance abuse, depression and anxiety. At Angela House, Ms. Doyle provides weekly individual and group psychotherapy for every resident. Ms. Doyle facilitates a weekly Seeking Safety Curriculum which is a trauma informed curriculum addressing both substance abuse and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In addition, she provides a weekly Shame Resilience class (based on UH professor and renowned researcher/author Brene Brown’s Shame Curriculum).  Ms. Doyle also provides After Care individual psychotherapy to all former residents of Angela House.

In addition to working at Angela House, Ms. Doyle maintains a private practice specializing in individual, marital and family psychotherapy. Her focus is working with substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety and interpersonal issues. Ms. Doyle also specializes in adolescent and young adult issues.

Ms. Doyle previously provided services to women and youth clients at a number of prominent social service agencies in Houston, including Associated Catholic Charities, Belle Park Hospital, Family Service Center, Houston Child Guidance Center and Texas Department of Health.

Ms. Doyle’s education includes:

Bachelor Degree (BA) in Psychology from University of Houston in May 1979

Master Degree (MA) with a specialty in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in May 1984
